The team formulates a plan to determine the source of the phenomenon in an attempt both to discern its origins and to stop it before its impact spreads. Beth and Odessa have a contentious conversation after Beth walks in on an emotional interaction between Odessa and Derek. A new ally enters the fray, but just when answers – and perhaps even a solution – seem imminent, everything is thrown into disarray.
